We are looking forward to a marvelous time of celebration this Sunday. It is Pentecost, the Sunday we celebrate the birth of the Church, and it is Confirmation Day. In our three worship services we will be confirming 39 young people as they make their professions of faith in Jesus Christ and are received into membership in the Church. These sixth graders have been together as a confirmation class for three months learning more about God, the Bible, the Church and their faith. They have been on retreat together at the Warren Willis United Methodist Camp in Leesburg. And are now ready to make their public profession of faith in Christ and become full members of St. Andrew's. [Read More] | |

School may be out but the children are still learning how to help others at Vacation Bible School at St. Andrew's. The Bible school held in mid June had over 400 children and 155 volunteers. Students learned how to go serve, go tell, and go lead with God's help, through stories, plays, songs, crafts and activities. Each day children helped less privileged students by bringing in the supply of the day. Together these children collected 256 scissors, 700 glue sticks, 1,368 colored pencils, 183 rulers, 5504 crayons, 2688 pencils, 600 pens, 64 spiral notebooks, 210 folders, and 8,400 sheets of notebook paper.
